  13.     This is a beta version of the client. There are bugs etc, so beware.
  14.         The documentation provided is old and needs updating, so don't be
  15.     surprised if many features are not explained at all. I just don't have
  16.     time/motivation to write documents right now.

  19.     Description:
  20.     ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  21.     Ambassador is a go client for Amiga, like AmigaIGC, only more advanced
  22.     and userfriendly. Go (weiqi, baduk, igo) is an ancient Chinese board
  23.     game that can be played on the internet on the Internet Go Server with
  24.     this client program. If you do not play go nor plan to learn to play, 
  25.     you don't really need this program for anything. Anyhow, you really
  26.     should learn to play go if you don't already do, as it is way superior
  27.     to all other board games.

  30.     New to IGS?
  31.     ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  32.     IGS stands for Internet Go Server - you can play an old (about 4000
  33.     years) Chinese board game against other folks over there. If you do not
  34.     have an account to IGS, please telnet to IGS (igs.joyjoy.net, port 6969
  35.     - login as 'guest'), before running this client. When logged in to IGS,
  36.     type help register. Follow the instructions IGS gives you. After you
  37.     have an account and a password, you should again log in with telnet and
  38.     type command "toggle client 1". After that you should log out (quit)
  39.     and try out the Ambassador.
  40.         If this sounds complex, do not worry - you only need to do this
  41.     once and you're set to go.
  42.         Actually you might try to connect to IGS straight away wth
  43.     Ambassador as it should work even with guest accunts, however, I've not
  44.     tested this as I am lazier than thou.

  47.     Requirements and recommendations:
  48.     ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  49.     - OS3.0 or newer required
  50.     - Internet connection via AmiTCP/IP or compatible
  51.     - Xen-font required .  This is hardcoded into the program. 
  52.       Xen-font can be found from Aminet (MagicWb archive?). 
  53.     - XHelvetica-font required (sizes 11 and 13). Also hardcoded, and also
  54.       available in Aminet (MagicWb?).
  55.     - Fast CPU recommended
  56.     - Hard Disk very strongly recommended
  57.     - AGA/GFX-card recommended
  58.     - If you want sounds, you also need upd-daemon. You can find it from
  59.       Aminet (util/rexx/Upd140.lha). It is also included in this archive.
  60.     - For speech option narrator.device & translator.library are required.

  65.     This version of Ambassador includer speech if you have narrator and
  66.     translator. However, something is  buggy at the moment, so
  67.     beware... (also, speech is at the moment syncronous - if I can kill
  68.     all the bugs, it will be asyncronous some day as it shoud be).

  74.     well so beware. If you find any of them or some others (:)), drop me a
